In 2001, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Jamnagar Kendra envisioned transforming the educational landscape of Jamnagar district by introducing focused and quality education in the field of Information Technology. With this forward-looking vision, Bhavan’s Shree H. J. Doshi Information Technology Institute was established in June 2002 with an initial intake of just 18 students in Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.).

In 2021, The college commenced its Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) program with the objective of providing quality education in commerce and business studies. The program is designed to equip students with strong foundations in accounting, finance, economics, and management, preparing them for successful careers in the corporate and entrepreneurial sectors.

Over the years, The College has evolved into a well-recognized and progressive institution, currently sculpting students across B.C.A. & B.Com. programs. The institute is affiliated with Saurashtra University and approved by AICTE and Government of Gujarat, ensuring academic integrity, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
